Album of the week - Naked
The Beatles - Let It Be Naked (click for the beatles homepage)
Incredible.. Let It Be was already a classic but this release gives it the warmth and depth that the original mix missed. It's the kind of album that when listened to first thing in the morning can brighten up your whole day.

Album(s) of the Week - The Reverend Bill Hicks
Bill Hicks (click for more information)
OK, a bit of change this week.. out with the music and in with the jokes. Do not be fooled however into thinking that this is just comedy.. Mr Hicks is not only the finest comedian EVER, no competition whatsoever, but also, given the choice between any major religion and Bill.. I’m following Bill! This needs to be listened to...
Any of Bill's Albums (or Videos) would do the trick.. my reccomendations would be either 'Rant In E-Minor' or 'Arizona Bay'
How come people always flip and think they're Jesus? Why not Buddha? Particularly in America, where more people resemble Buddha than Jesus.
'Ah'm BUDDHA!'... 'You're Bubba!'... 'Ah'm Buddha now..All I gotta do is change 3 letters on ma belt...'

Stweg's the cool hot hit tip of the week - Donovan
Donovan - Sunshine Superman (click for review)
It is rumoured that Louis lane flashed her velvet panties on hearing Donovan's Sunshine Superman. The album lays the flowerbed of psychedelic folk before the label was glue-gunned to every sitar welding combo in the Village. Beautiful man. Beatiful. Taste.

Album of the Week - Maiden 1980
Iron Maiden - Iron Maiden (click for review)
Released in 1980 this album did for Heavy Metal what Nevermind did for Grunge, it would easily find a place in my top 100. Their debut album, it sounds rather different from the Maiden everybody knows (and loves?), with no Bruce Dickinson it has a more raw, less theatrical appeal… go on, give it a try.
